The iPhone 13 and 13 Pro were unveiled in September 2021 during Apple's "California Streaming" event. New 120Hz ProMotion screens and major camera enhancements were added in the revised pro versions.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max both have the same high-end features, which is unusual for Apple's consumer iPhones. When it comes to screen size and battery life, users can be certain that the two versions are almost identical.
Features of the iPhone 13 Plus
Design
The narrower notch and the huge camera hump are two of the most noticeable design changes in the iPhone 13 Pro versions. The available colors have undergone a few alterations, but nothing major.
With the iPhone 12 Pro, the notch is 20% smaller than on the iPhone 12S, allowing for a larger display area for content. This reduced notch was made possible thanks to a re-engineered True Depth camera for Face ID.

Taking "macro" photographs when auto-switch is disabled requires the operator to switch to the ultra-wide lens and go near to the subject. However, it seems that some of the macro shooting mode's algorithmic qualities are lost when it is not automatically engaged.
TELEPHOTO
A 3x optical zoom and a 77mm focal length characterize the new telephoto lens. The Portrait Mode effect on the iPhone is enhanced because to this lens' enhanced natural bokeh when shooting close-up objects.

More than an hour of additional battery life is provided by the A15's efficiency improvements. The A15 and ProMotion have added 2.5 hours of battery life to the iPhone's largest model.

The changes made for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max make for truly stunning devices. Though the bigger of the two still leaves us hungry for more big-screen software support.
We enjoy the new Sierrra Blue, although we'd welcome more intense hues in the upcoming pro versions. Both devices are somewhat heavier and thicker than their predecessors, which doesn't help with the odd size of the 6.7-inch model.
ProMotion is a killer feature that still needs more improvement throughout iOS 15. New developer tools for targeting the higher refresh rates will be released shortly, so more applications will be able to make use of them. We observed that switching from 120Hz to 60Hz felt akin to looking at SD material after viewing HD for the first time, and it may be unsettling.
Even with the brighter screens and quicker refresh rate, Apple still has some work to do with the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Strangely, the smartphone has larger widgets than the iPad mini 6, despite having a smaller screen, so we feel Apple may modify scaling to take greater benefit of the enormous iPhone display. Only those who desire the maximum battery life and the largest iPhone screen should pick up this huge smartphone.
The camera system has been overhauled from the ground up with larger and better cameras, functionality, and controls. Every element of photography and videography benefits from the improved Wide lens, the larger aperture in the Ultra-Wide lens, and the 3x zoom in the Telephoto lens.
Macro photography demands pricey gear and some amount of photographic ability to carry off passably. However, Apple's iPhone 13 Pro models provide macro to the public with their superior focusing technologies featured in the Ultra-Wide lens. We've liked exploring with this new picture and video option and created some beautiful photos already.
We tested Cinematic Mode and appreciated how it gave depth and information to basic footage of our dogs or items. While the technology isn't perfect yet, it is obviously a useful tool for adding some bokeh to your video. And as a bonus, footage taken in cinematic mode may be restored to standard video after the fact.
The A15 Bionic boasts a speedier CPU and a more powerful GPU that translates to real-life usage. Even though Apple isn't publicly talking about its newest processing enhancements, we've noticed considerable boosts in performance throughout our tests.
Despite some glitches at launch and some annoying features, we've liked trying out these latest iPhones. The iPhone 13 Pro is the near-perfect smartphone for most people, and we would have rated it a 5 out of 5 on its own. The iPhone 13 Pro Max suffers from a lack of sufficient software support, but nevertheless gives a terrific experience and exceptional battery life, and we would have given it 4 out of 5.
Overall, the pro models received 4.5 stars as a collective.
